Women's Soccer Drops 2-0 Decision to FDU
Blue Devils now 0-1-2 in Northeast Conference play
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road at Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. With the loss Central is now 3-3-4 overall and 0-1-2 in league play. They return to action at home on Friday and Sunday of next week. On Friday they host St. Francis (PA) at 7 p.m., and then host Robert Morris on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at Willow Brook Park in New Britain.
On Sunday, the Blue Devils lost for the first time in six games. They were 2-0-3 in their last five matches. Their last lost came on Sept. 9.
Central outshot Fairleigh Dickinson 10-9 in the match, both teams had five shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Nikola Deiter made three saves for the Blue Devils.
Fairleigh Dickinson used a pair of keepers in the game. They combined for five saves.
Both FDU goals came in the second half. The first from Loren Rich, her first of the season, off a corner kick at 51:06. The second came with just over five minutes to play.
