Women's Lacrosse Stopped at Mount St. Mary's on Friday
CCSU will face Wagner for its final regular season game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Staten Island, NY.
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team fell 16-5 at Mount St. Mary's on Friday in Emmitsburg, MD. Five different players scored goals for CCSU as they drop to 2-13 on the season and 1-5 in the Northeast Conference.
Mount St. Mary's advances to 9-6 on the season and 4-2 in the NEC. The Blue Devils will travel to Staten Island, NY on Sunday to face the Wagner Seahawks at 1:00 p.m. in their 2018 regular season finale.
Junior Carson Adelberger gave CCSU its first goal of the game at the 11:19 mark on an unassisted strike. Sophomore Alaigra Usher scored in the 27th minute of action to bring CCSU to within 6-2 of the Mountaineers.
Freshman Emma Sullivan and Senior Kylie Sullivan scored on back-to-back goals in the opening five minutes of the second half to cut the Mount's lead to 8-4. Sophomore Morgan Sinton would score the Blue Devils final goal of the game at the 20:37 mark.
The Mountaineers went on a 7-0 run to seal the Friday afternoon victory.
Freshman Meaghan Allard notched nine saves in and falls to 0-4 on the year.
