Women's Lacrosse Downed at New Hampshire
CCSU will next host Hartford at home on March 6 at 4 p.m.
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team was out-scored 13-4 at New Hampshire on Saturday, Feb. 24 in Durham, NH. The Blue Devils drop to 0-3 on the year and will next host the Hartford Hawks on March 6 at 4:00 p.m. at Arute Field for their home-opener.
With the win UNH improved to 2-2 this season.
Central had four different players score in match. Sophomore Alaigra Usher was first to strike for the Blue Devils at the 22:53 mark in the first half, tying the game at 1-1. Molly Coogan would find the back of the net next as the Wildcats combined for five more goals to lead 6-2 at the break.
Sophomore Cameron Ruberti found sophomore Morgan Sinton for the first goal of the second half at the 25:06 mark. Freshman Kaitlyn Rapp would score the last goal for CCSU with 17:45 left in regulation.
The Wildcats were led by Carly Wooters with a game-high three goals. Blue Devil goalkeeper senior junior Jackie Branthover tallied eight saves in the match and freshman Meaghan Allard snagged three saves for CCSU.
