Men's Soccer Plays St. Francis (NY) to a 2-2 Draw
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team played St. Francis (NY) to a 2-2 double overtime tie on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils are now 4-9-3 overall and 1-5-3 in NEC action this season. Senior's Robert Cavener and Connor Smith had the goals for the Blue Devils.

St. Francis launched 13 shots in the first half sophomore goalkeeper Anthony Occhialini saved seven of the eight shots on goal in the period. The Blue Devils surrendered the goal in the 39th minute of play and entered half time trailing 1-0.
Central battled back in the second half with Cavener's goal only 14 seconds into the second half. The Blue Devils were not finished as Smith scored unassisted in the 66th minute to put Central ahead.
St. Francis never stopped attacking putting four more shots on goal in the second half, Occhialini made three saves, but the Terriers tied the score at 2-2.
Neither side registered a shot on goal in overtime, but St. Francis did have a pair of shots go wide in the first extra frame.
The Blue Devils conclude their season Friday at Quinnipiac.
