Men's Soccer Team Plays to 0-0 Double Overtime Draw at St. Francis (PA)
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team played to a 0-0 double overtime draw on the road at St. Francis (PA) on Sunday afternoon. With the tie the Blue Devils are now 3-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in Northeast Conference play. St. Francis (PA) is now 6-3-1 and 2-0-1 in league action. Central returns to action next Sunday at Willow Brook Park hosting Bryant University at Willow Brook Park. Please note the location change for the game.

Blue Devil goalkeeper Anthony
Occhialini made a pair of saves for the Blue Devils in the
draw.
The Red Flash outshot the Blue Devils 18-12 in the game, but it was
Central who held a 5-3 edge in shots on goal. Daniel Valcicak made
five saves in the draw for the Red Flash.
Central's Ian
Smurthwaite led the offensive attack with three shots on goal,
although neither team could find the back of the net in the
game.
Each team had four corner kicks in the game.
The Blue Devils return to action at home on Sunday, Oct. 17 against
Bryant at 3 p.m. The game has been moved to Willow Brook in New
Britain. It was originally scheduled to be on campus on Arute
Field, but instead will move downtown.
