Men's Soccer Scores 1-0 Victory on the Road at Long Island on Friday
The Central Connecticut State University men's soccer team traveled to Long Island University on Friday and came away with a 1-0 win. The win is the first in conference action for Central this season, and improves their overall record to 4-9-2. They are 1-5-2 in Northeast Conference action. Connor Smith scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils in the win. Anthony Occhialini made four saves in goal for Central in the win.

Smith's goal was his first of the season, and it came in the first
half. He took a pass from teammate Richie
Slaughter and scored from the top of the box. The goal helped
snapped a seven-game winless streak for Central.
Occhialini's four stops helped him earn his fourth shutout of the
season.
The Blue Devils held a large 15-8 advantage in shots, including an
8-4 edge in shots on goal.
Central plays again on the road at St. Francis (NY) on Sunday
beginning at 1 p.m.
