Blue Devils Compete at Connecticut Open
Ausanio, Bednar, Beloin, and Farnum competed at the two-day tournament.
The Central Connecticut women's golf team was represented at the 14th Connecticut Women's Open Championship earlier this week. The two-day tournament was held on Tuesday, May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th.
Golfers competed in a 36-hole stroke play championship tournament which was held at Clinton Country Club. The par 72 course played 5,873 yards long. Participants played 18 holes on Tuesday and finished with the final 18 on Wednesday.
Competing for the Blue Devils at the open championship was junior Anna Ausanio, junior Stephanie Bednar, sophomore Elisabeth Beloin, and freshman Albrianna Farnum. Each golfer competed in the tournament individually as an amateur.
Ausanio (83/75/158) led all Blue Devils placing tied for 22nd on the final leader board. The junior finished 14 strokes over par for the tournament, 15 strokes off of the tournament champion Megan Khang of Massachusetts.
Beloin (82/80/162) place tied for 28th while Bednar (83/83/166) finished tied for 33rd and Farnum (85/84/169) tied for 39th.
