Junior Anna Ausanio was selected to the All-NEC Second Team.
Central Connecticut junior Anna Ausanio was named Second Team All-Northeast Conference on Wednesday evening. Ausanio finished an excellent third season in New Britain by finishing fifth at the 2012 NEC Championships.
In addition to finishing fifth at the NEC Championship, Ausanio also finished among the top-five at the Sacred Heart Invitational in the fall.
Overall on the year, she played 24 rounds and averaged 80.8 strokes per round. Her consistent performance helped her finish among the top-10 in five of the 10 tournaments that she played this year.
Ausanio held the lowest season scoring average among all Blue Devils (80.8) as well as marking down the lowest round score of the season writing in a 73.
Ausanio's final round 76 helped the Blue Devils tie Robert Morris for the lead after 54 holes at the Mount St. Mary's Invite on April 17th. It was the lowest round of the day for the Blue Devils and helped her team reach a playoff, which the Blue Devils won to capture their first tournament victory of the season.
