Blue Devils Continue on the Road to Robert Morris
Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team continues on the road to Moon Township, PA to take on the Colonials of Robert Morris. RMU sits at a perfect 10-0 in the Northeast Conference, setting a new school record for the best NEC start. Isabella Posset made a break away layup with 38 seconds remaining to help lift Robert Morris past Bryant 59-56 on Saturday. The team forced 23 turnovers and had 11 steals against the Bulldogs. Bryant and Mount St. Mary's are both 4-6 in league play, as Central sits at 3-7 in eighth place.
The Blue Devils dropped a 83-68 decision to Saint Francis U Saturday. A late run by the Red Flash put them up 16 with 8:11 to play and despite a late push by Central, the double-digit deficit was too much to overcome. Senior Andi Lydon led the team with a season-high 17 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Classmate Kiana Patterson posted 15 points giving her 1,299 career points, making her the fourth all-time leading scorer for women's basketball at Central Connecticut. Sophomore Ashley Forker added in a career-high seven assists.
