Women's Basketball Continues Three-Game Road Series at Massachusetts
The Blue Devils tip off against UMass at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Amherst, MA to take on the Massachusetts Minutewomen on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. inside the William D. Mullins Center. The Minutewomen won their season opener against Sacred Heart on Nov. 6 and fell to Towson 78-53 last Sunday.

Last time out • Central was unable to defend the paint in Tuesday night's contest against Rutgers, falling 73-44. The Blue Devils were led by senior Kiana Patterson who scored 25 points, including her 1,000th, to become the 16th women's basketball player in school history to reach this accomplishment. Rutgers head coach C. Vivian Stringer became the sixth Division 1 college basketball coach to win 1,000 games.
Most recently for UMass • After shooting just 27.1 percent from the floor the Minutewomen fell to Towson 78-53 on Sunday. The team was led by Bre Hampton-Bey (12 points) and Hailey Leidel (11 points). Hampton-Bey is averaging 15.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while Leidel is averaging 12 points and 6.5 rebounds per game so far this season.
Series History • This is the ninth match-up between the two programs. The Blue Devils are 3-5 overall against the Minutewomen. The last time these two teams played was during the 2016-17 season with UMass prevailing 76-37.
