Northeast Conference Announces 2018-19 Basketball TV Schedule
The league will have a total of 26 games broadcast on national platforms.
The Northeast Conference released its 2018-19 basketball television package on Monday. The Central Connecticut men's and women's basketball teams will appear on three national broadcasts across ESPN platforms during the season. The NEC will have a total of 26 broadcasts across ESPN/CBS network platforms.
COMPLETE NORTHEAST CONFERENCE RELEASE
The Blue Devils men's basketball team will have a pair of contests on ESPN platforms. CCSU will play at Saint Francis U on Thursday, February 7, in a game that will be televised on ESPNU at 5:00 p.m. Central will travel to Robert Morris on Saturday, February 9, for a 4:00 p.m. game that will be carried on ESPN+.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travel to Wagner on Saturday, February 16, for a 1:00 p.m. broadcast on ESPN+.
The NEC TV package includes 22 games that will be televised on ESPN networks this season and four more men's games that will air on CBS Sports Network. ESPN3 will carry 13 NEC basketball games this season, all of which will also air on NEC Front Row. Five games will air exclusively on ESPN+, the new multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service.
The league package includes a men's basketball wildcard game on February 28 that will air on CBS Sports. Both NEC men's basketball tournament semifinal games will be carried on ESPN3 on Saturday, March 9. The men's basketball championship will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2 on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:00 p.m.
The women's NEC tournament will have both semifinal contests broadcast on ESPN3 on Thursday, March 14. The women's championship will be televised on ESPNU on Sunday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. The total NEC package includes 11 women's contests, which matches the most in league history.
All of CCSU's men's and women's basketball home games will be available on NEC Front Row.
Men's basketball will host Arcadia in an exhibition on Saturday, October 27, at Detrick Gymnasium. Admission is FREE and open to the public. The Blue Devils will open the regular season at Hartford on Tuesday, November 6, at 7:00 p.m. CCSU's home-opener will be against UMass Lowell on Tuesday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m.
CCSU women's basketball opens the season at Brown on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 p.m.. The team's home-opener will be against Lehigh on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11:00 a.m.
