WBB Travels to New Hampshire on Sunday

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Durham New Hampshire to play the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils (3-2) are playing their fourth America East opponent of the 2014-15 season - with a game against Maine coming this week - and CCSU is 2-1 so far this season against members of that conference. The Blue Devils won last season's meeting with the Wildcats (3-1) 53-52 on a late free throw by senior Lauren Arbogast.
Series History • The Blue Devils hold a 9-7 advantage in the all-time Division I series between these programs. CCSU has also won five consecutive meetings in this series. Under head coach Beryl Piper the Blue Devils are 5-1 all-time against the Wildcats.
Quick Start to the Season • The Blue Devils had a busy start to the 2014-15 season with five games over the first 12 days. The Blue Devils started on Nov. 14, a Friday, and have played five times this season prior to today - Friday (11/14), Monday (11/17), Wednesday (11/19), Saturday (11/22), Tuesday (11/25).
Piper in Overtime • Beryl Piper is now 13-4 all-time in overtime games as the head coach of the Blue Devils.
Wild Game with UVM • The Blue Devils played a wild overtime contest with Vermont on Tuesday night. CCSU led by as many as 13 points before letting the Catamounts climb back into the game and force overtime at 60-60. CCSU then jumped to an overtime lead, but UVM again tied the game with the Blue Devils finally earning the win (77-75) on a layup by Amanda Harrington with 1 second left to play.
Career-High for Wolosik • Redshirt freshman Lauren Wolosik scored a career-high 17 points against Vermont.
