NEC Announces Preseason Coaches' Poll
The Northeast Conference announced its 2014-15 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
The Northeast Conference announced its 2014-15 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The announcement was part of the opening of the league's annual NEC "Social" Media Day.
Central Connecticut was picked to finish in a tie for ninth in the NEC by a vote of the conference's head coaches.
The Blue Devils finished last season with an 11-17 record and a 5-13 mark in the NEC. Central returns nine student-athletes from last year's squad and welcomes four new student-athletes.

The Blue Devils open the 2014-15 season on Nov. 14 against Hofstra.
CCSU will also host a panel discussion on Oct. 30 at 7:30 a.m. The discussion is titled Women's Basketball: Then and Now will feature CCSU' s head women's basketball coach Beryl Piper, University of Connecticut associate head coach Chris Dailey, CCSU women's basketball alumna and PGA Tour Senior Vice President of Tournament Activation & Outreach Donna Fiedorowicz and 2014 CCSU graduate and former women's basketball student-athlete Jaleen Thomas.
