The par-70 course is playing 6,749 yards long. The tournament began on Saturday, September 29th and will finish up on Sunday, September 30th.
Sophomroe Monte Mullen leads the individual field after carding a season best 66 (-4) round one score. The sophomore fired an impressive 32 on the front end of his first round then followed that with a 34.
Fanion also broke 70 on day one penciling in a 67 (-3), giving him a second place tie behind Mullen. Fanion's 67 also gives him his season low round score so far in 2012. Fanion mirrored Mullen on the first nine of his day recording a 32 and ended his round one 18 with a 35.
Seniors Matthew DeJohn and Greg Beloin are both tied for 34th place after Saturday. Each shot identical scores of 73 (+3) and wrote in a 37 and a 36 to complete their first 18 of the tournament.
Sophomore Kevin Jud made his 2012 debut for the Blue Devils Saturday. He opened up with a 76 (+6) and is tied for 63rd.
