Women's XC 18th at New Englands
The Blue Devils finished 18th at the 2011 New England Championships.
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished 18th at the 2011 New England Cross Country Championships. The Blue Devils posted a team score of 523, led by sophomore Krisztina Dearborn who placed 55th.
Dearborn ran the 5K course in Boston, MA, in 18:58. The next Blue Devil across the line was senior Alasia Griebel who finished 81st with a time of 19:19.
Sophomore Elizabeth Eberhardt posted a 19:27 mark that earned her a 92nd place finish. Senior Amanda Asaro finished 119th with a time of 19:52. Freshman Shannon McBride ran a 20:38 to finish 176th and complete the Blue Devils score.
Boston College took the team title with a score of 38. Boston University and Vermont finished right behind Boston College.
Katie Matthews of Boston University captured the individual title with a time of 17:18.
The Blue Devils will return to action on October 21, when they host the CCSU Mini Meet. That event will be the final tune-up before the Northeast Conference Championships.
