Radden Advances on Day One of IC4A's
Aaron Radden qualified for the finals in both the 200m and 60m events.
The Central Connecticut tack & field team began IC4A Championship competition today in Boston, MA. 14 Blue Devil's are registered to run at the meet and scheduled to run in six track events and throw in two field events.
On day one, junior Aaron Radden qualified for the finals in both the 200m and 60m events. Radden ran well in the preliminary rounds of the 60m with a time of 6.90 and in the 200m with a stellar time of 21.21. His 60m and 200m times were both the fastest times in his heat. The 60m semi-finals will be held on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with the finals at 1:30 p.m. 200m finals will be held at 2:10 p.m. on day two.
Senior Rashad Williams competed in the weight throw and threw a distance of 17.11m. Williams will be throwing the shot on day two at 11 a.m.
Seniors Michael Waterbury and Robert Weston both competed in the 800m. Weston ran a personal best time of 1:53.52, sixth in his heat. Waterbury finished seventh in his heat with a time of 1:56.20.
The second and final day of the IC4A Championships will be Sunday, March 4th.
