Men's Soccer Earns Draw With FDU on Sunday
Both goals came in the closing minutes of the first half.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with FDU on Sunday in a Northeast Conference matchup at CCSU Soccer Field. The teams scored within two minutes of each other, but neither side could get a game-winner in the second half.
CCSU travels to Stonehill on Thursday, Oct. 26.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Knights opened the scoring in the 40th minute when Tony Gomez played a pass between two Blue Devils defenders to Mario Ibeas who placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the goal.
- CCSU evened the score just a minute and a half later when a cross from Zane Brown made its way through the FDU defense to Jakob Welle-Smogeli who put the ball in the back of the net.
- FDU would threaten to score in the closing minute but the CCSU defense held strong and sewed up the draw.

- FDU won last season's meeting, 2-0, at FDU and have lost just once in the past seven matchups
