Vinales Wins 19th Annual Blue Devil Run
Senior clocks time of 23:35 over 3.7 mile course
Senior Kyle Vinales won the 19th Annual Blue Devil run on Wednesday afternoon in New Britain with a time of 23:37. The run signals the unofficial start of the 2014-15 men's basketball season for the Blue Devils. The first official practice for Central will be this coming Friday, October 3.

CCSU 2014-15 MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
The Blue Devil run takes place on a 3.7 mile course adjacent to the Central campus, and has been an annual event at the beginning of the basketball season since head coach Howie Dickenman took over the men's basketball program 19 years ago.
The Blue Devils open the season on Friday, Nov. 14 in the Annual CT6 Classic vs. Fairfield beginning at 3 p.m. at Quinnipiac University.
Vinales clocked his time of 23:37 to win the race. Sophomore Matt Mobley was second at 24:07, followed by senior Greg Andrade and junior Brandon Peel who tied for third with a time of 24:41. Sophomore Khalen Cumberlander was fifth with a time of 25:48, followed by freshman Kevin Seymour (25:51) and freshman Shakaris Laney (25:54).
Senior guard Malcolm McMillan finished eighth with a time of 26:12, followed by junior Corey Barrett (26:15) and walk-on Jameilen Jones (26:29). Senior Juwan Newmen was 11th with a time of 27:03, then senior Faronte Drakeford (28:24), freshman Mustafa Jones (29:10) and walk-on George Davis (29:37).
