Football Announces 2024 Schedule
CCSU football will have five home games, three versus NEC foes, during the 2024 season.
Central Connecticut State announced its 2024 football schedule on Tuesday. The Blue Devils unveiled a 12-game slate that features five home games and six Northeast Conference opponents. The champion of the NEC regular season earns the conference's bid to the FCS Championship.

"We are excited about the season ahead," said head coach Adam Lechtenberg, who will be in his second season at the helm in 2024. "We have some terrific non-conference opponents that will test us early and prepare us for the NEC schedule. And again, the league will be a competitive slate that is a challenge week-in and week-out."
Season tickets for the 2024 Blue Devils football season will go on sale on Monday, July 1, 2024.
SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
- The schedule is equally balanced with six conference and six non-conference games, with the season opener coming August 31st at Central Michigan
- The Blue Devils will play five home games, with the home opener coming September 7th versus Fordham
- CCSU will play three of its final four, and its last two, games at home on Arute Field
- The NEC opener comes on the road, September 14th at Saint Francis U
- Senior Day will be held prior to the regular season finale, November 23rd versus Duquesne
NEC NOTES
- The Blue Devils home NEC games are all contained within the month of November, starting with Wagner on November 2nd
- The Blue Devils have won six straight meetings against the Seahawks
- Robert Morris returns to the NEC for the first time since 2019, when the Blue Devils won 49-28 on Arute Field
- The defending champion Dukes are the season finale
- The Blue Devils travel to LIU on October 26th
NON-CONFERENCE NOTES
- The meeting with the Chippewas to open the season will be the first-ever meeting between the two squads
- Former NEC member, and in-state foe, Sacred Heart returns to Arute Field for a non-conference game on October 12th
- CCSU will host Fordham for the second time and the first since the series opener in 2017
- The Blue Devils have won the last two meetings in the series with the Rams
- Yale is on the Blue Devils slate for the first time, with a trip to the Yale Bowl scheduled for October 5th
- The final non-conference game is at Dartmouth for the third meeting between the two squads and the first since October 17, 2015
