LeClair, Terry Compete on First Day of NEICAAA Championships Friday
The CCSU women's outdoor track and field team will return to action as the team is split between the NEICAAA Championships and the ECAC Championships on Saturday.
Two members of the Central Connecticut women's outdoor track and field team competed at the NEICAAA Championships hosted by Southern Connecticut in New Haven, CT on Friday. These select Blue Devils posted qualifying times in their respective events over the course of the regular season to be eligible to race this weekend. A few other select Blue Devils will compete tomorrow on the second and final day of the NEICAAA Championships as well as at the ECAC Championships being held by Princeton University in Princeton, NJ.

Junior Brandy LeClair highlighted the first day of action at the NEICAAA Championships for the Blue Devils clocking in a new collegiate-best time in the women's 10,000 meter run. LeClair's new personal-best time of 39:37.88 earned her a 12th place overall finish in the event.
Senior Chelse Terry recorded an 11th place finish in the hammer throw in her last outdoor meet of her career after launching the hammer 45.26 meters. The mark was just two-tenths of a meter shy of her all-time personal-best mark.
