Women's Golf 2nd in GolfWeek.com Poll
The Blue Devils finished behind only Saint Francis U in the preseason poll.
The Central Connecticut women's golf team was tabbed to finish second in the Northeast Conference preseason poll by GolfWeek.com, an article released on Sunday. Only Saint Francis U was picked to finish ahead of Central.
Fairleigh Dickinson and Monmouth were slated behind the Blue Devils while regining NEC Champion LIU-Brooklyn rounded out the poll's top-five. Robert Morris fell behind LIU-Brooklyn ranked sixth followed by Sacred Heart seventh, Wagner eighth, Mount St. Mary's ninth, and Saint Francis Brooklyn 10th.
Central finished seventh at the conference tournament last spring with a team score of 971. The score marked the lowest that the Blue Devils have scored at the NEC Tournament since a third round was added to the event in 2007.
