Ausanio Cards 77 at SFNY Quad Match
St. Francis (NY) hosted the four team event.
The Central Connecticut women's golf team scored a 338 at a quad-match hosted by St. Francis (NY) on Monday. The match is scheduled for one round and just four Notheast Conference teams participated: LIU-Brooklyn, St. Francis (NY), Quinnipiac, and Central.
LIU Brooklyn posted the best score with a 337 followed by Central who placed just one stroke back of the Hawks scoring a 338. Quinnipiac shot a 358 with host St. Francis (NY) rounding out the field with a 366.
The Muttontown Golf Club in East Norwich, NY played host to the match. The par-71 course played 6,755 yards long.
Senior Anna Ausanio shot the lowest score at the match carding a 77. She placed ahead of all 20 golfers who participated in the match.
Freshman Sarah Boden followed Ausanio posting a score of 83 while senior Stephanie Bednar shot an 88. Juniors Gina Grant and Nicole Pizzoferrato registered scores of 90 and 92 respectively.
The quad-match will conclude the fall season for the Blue Devils. The Central Connecticut women's golf team will resume their 2012-13 season in the spring. Log-on to CCSUBlueDevils.com for scheduling.
