Men's Golf Finishes Play at Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge
Freshman Drek Aitken leads the Blue Devils with a score of 153
Freshman Drew Aitken shot a day two score of 75 to lead the Central Connecticut men's golf team in the second and final round of the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge on Sunday. The tournament was played at the Quechee Club in Quechee, VT, and hosted by Dartmouth College.
Aitken's second round score was the best of the day for the Blue Devils as they shot a day two team score of 319 and finished in 13th place out of 15 teams this weekend. Central posted a two-day score of 633.
Rhode Island won the tournament with a score of 578, followed by Harvard (580), Cornell (588), Penn (591) and Columbia (597).
Aiken's 75 on Sunday gave him a two day score of 153, good for a tie for 29th place overall. Junior teammate Anthony Sebastianelli shot 77 on Sunday and finished at 155, good for a tie for 46th place overall.
Senior Matthew Mahlke shot a day two score of 83 and finished at 160 (t67th), while classmate Nick Direda shot an 85 (166, 79th) and freshman Arthur Ouimet shot an 84 and finished at 170 (83rd) to round out the scoring for the Blue Devils.
