Men's Golf in Fourth After Day One at NEC Championships
Junior Brandon Raine shoots 73 on day one to lead CCSU
The Central Connecticut men's golf team shot a day one score of 308 and sits in fourth place out of nine teams after the first day and round of the 2017 Northeast Conference men's golf championships. The championships are being played inn Daytona Beach, FL at the LPGA International Hills Course. Round two will take place on Saturday.
Bryant sits in first place after a score of 296 on Friday, followed by Fairleigh Dickinson (305), Robert Morris (307), CCSU (308), LIU Brooklyn (312), St. Francis U (314), Wagner (314), Sacred Heart (317) and then St. Francis Brooklyn (332).
Junior Brandon Raine led the Blue Devils with a day one score of 73, putting him in a tie for fifth place overall. Freshman Drew Aitken shot 75 and is tied for eighth place.
Freshman Arthur Ouimet shot 78 and is tied for 17th place. Seniors Nick Direda and Matthew Mahlke each shot 82 and are tied for 29th place overall.
Round two will take place on Saturday morning. The third and final round will take place on Sunday.
