Men's Golf Drops Dual Match With Bryant
Sebastianelli leads the way with a fourth place finish
Junior Anthony Sebastianelli shot a day two score of 70 and finished fourth for the Blue Devils as the Central Connecticut men's golf team dropped a dual match against Bryant this weekend. The Bulldogs posted a two-day score of 564, and finished 24 shots ahead of the Blue Devils on the weekend.
The match was played at The Connecticut National Golf Club in Putnam, CT. Bryant's John Roberts finished first among the 12 competitors, with a two day score of 139 (-3). She shot a weekend best score of 68 on Sunday.
Central senior Nick Direda, playing as an individual, shot a team-best weekend score of 69 on Sunday. He improved nine strokes from his Saturday round and finished at 147, in ninth place.
Sebastianelli shot 72-70 and finished at even par for the weekend, just three shots back of Roberts. Bryant's William DelBiaggio and Matthew Stafford tied for second place with a sore of 141 (-1).
Central junior Brandon Raine shot 70-74 and finished the weekend at +2 (144) and in fifth place.
Freshman Drew Aitken shot 77-74 and finished in a tie for 10th place with classmate Arthur Ouimet (151, +9). Senior Matthew Mahlke shot 82-74 and finished in 12th place.
