Junior Kevin Josephson Named to All-New England Division I First Team
Central Connecticut junior golfer Kevin Josephson has been named to the All-New England First Team on Monday. Josephson earns the honor after a great 2010-11 year in which he posted five top-10 finishes and captured a pair of individual titles.
Central Connecticut junior golfer Kevin Josephson has been named to the All-New England First Team on Monday. Josephson earns the honor after a great 2010-11 year in which he posted five top-10 finishes and captured a pair of individual titles.
Josephson used 2,043 strokes to finish 27 rounds with a 75.6 stroke average on the season. In the Fall Josephson ran off an impressive streak fo seven consecutive rounds under pair. In the process he captured the individual honors at the CCSU Blue Devil Shoot Out and the MacDonald Cup of Yale University.
His best round of the year came in the Fall when he shot a 67 in the first round of the MacDonald Cup of Yale University.
In the Spring he shot rounds of 74 and 71 to help the Blue Devils capture the New England Golf Championship.
Josephson is one of five members of the Division I first team. He is joined by Andrew Fiorenzano of Rhode Island, David Renski of Sacred Heart, Matt Smith of Hartford and Steve Zychowski.
The second team included Colin Andrade of Holy Cross, Chris Dilucia of Connecticut, Taylor Fontaine of Rhode Island, John Kelly of Rhode Island and Patrick Pelletier of Rhode Island.
The Blue Devils will return to action in the Fall with a full slate of tournaments.
