Men's Golf Tied for 14th After Round One of Wildcat Invitational
The Central Connecticut men's golf team finished their first round of play at the Wildcat Invitational, but several teams did not as the round was stopped because of darkness. The Blue Devils were tied for 14th when play was halted. Sophomore Dan Fanion was the Blue Devils top performer shooting a +3 in the first round. The Wildcat Invitational is being played on par-71 7,009 yard White Manor course in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

The Blue Devils were tied for 14th when play was halted. Sophomore Dan Fanion was the Blue Devils top performer shooting a +3 in the first round. The Wildcat Invitational is being played on par-71 7,009 yard White Manor course in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Fanion shot a 36 on the front nine and a 38 on the back half of the course to lead the Blue Devils with a 74. Senior Justin Hughes was the only other Blue Devil to shoot under 80 in the opening round. He posted a 79 in the first round.
Freshman Daniel Morgan shot an 81, senior Eric Hawerchuk posted a 82 and junior Kevin Josephson finished with an opening round 89 to round out the Blue Devils scores.
The Blue Devils use 316 strokes in round one. They trail the University of Deleware which shot a 290 in the first round.
The Wildcat Invitaitonal will continue tomorrow with the completion of the first round and then the second round.
