Baker saw action for the Blue Devils in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons after transferring to New Britain. His 105 career receptions are fifth on CCSU's career list and his 1,413 yards are eighth all-time.
The 6-4, 205 pound wide receiver had an extremely productive senior season in 2012. He caught 42 passes for 609 yards and six touchdowns, all of which led the team. He was a big play threat for the Blue Devils and had a career long 85-yard touchdown catch and run in CCSU's loss to Bryant.
"I'm very excited for Deven," head coach Jeff McInerney said on Sunday evening. "As a student-athlete, he has worked extremely hard and his dedication and focus have been tremendous. I am proud of him for what he has accomplished so far and I wish him the best of luck with his pursuit of professional football."
Other Blue Devils that have recently spent time with NFL squads include: Rich Ranglin, Justise Hairston, Josue Paul and James Mallory. All five played for current head coach Jeff McInerney.
