"We are going to have great leadership on this team," head coach Jeff McInerney said. "This group of captains represents our program well year round. They are leaders in every aspect of this program, on the field, in meetings, the weight room and the classroom."
Baker, a linebacker, was the only preseason All-NEC selection for the Blue Devils this season. In 2011, he led the squad with 80 tackles and was second on the team with 42 unassisted stops. He also contributed 1.5 sacks and forced two fumbles to go along with his two fumble recoveries.
Also a linebacker, Radich saw action in every game last season on defense and special teams. He recorded 38 tackles and forced a team-high three fumbles. His 38 tackles rank fifth among returning players.
Duque has handled kick off duties for the Blue Devils the last three seasons and assumed place kicking responsibilities last season. Last season he connected on four-of-five field goal attempts, including a career-long shot of 42 yards, and hit 34-of-36 point after attempts.
On the offensive side, Pagan, a running back, missed all of last season with an injury, but in the three years prior, he contributed on offense, defense and special teams. He enters 2012 with career totals of 123 rushing yards and three touchdowns, in addition to 41 career tackles.
Jones is now in his third year with the Blue Devils and his role at wide receiver has grown each season. Last year he posted 20 receptions for 246 yards and a touchdown. Jones has also seen time at quarterback during his career.
White has contributed to the Blue Devils as a quarterback, punter and long snapper over the last two seasons and he will continue in those rolls in 2012. In 2011, he completed five passes for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns after coming off the bench in CCSU's season opening victory over Southern Connecticut. He also punted eight times for 240 yards, an average of 30.0 yards per punt.
The Blue Devils will open the 2012 season on September 1, at Stony Brook and then will host Lehigh on September 8, at the newly expanded Arute Field.
