Women 4th at Annual Ted Owen Invite
Shannon McBride leads the way with 11th place finish
The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished in fourth place out of six teams at the 11th Annual Ted Owen Invite on Saturday morning in New Britain. The women's race featured six teams and was run over a 5k course at Stanley Quarter Park adjacent to the CCSU campus.
Boston University took the team title on Saturday with a score of 33, followed by Bryant (58), Bentley (64) and then CCSU (109). Hartford was fifth and Pace finished sixth.
Junior Shannon McBride led the way for the Blue Devils on the course, finishing in 11th place. Sophomore Ally Gates came in 24th, followed by sophomore Caylee Richardson (29th), freshman Alexis Conte (33rd) and sophomore Trisha Quinn (35th).
The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Saint Francis U.
