Volleyball Drops Saturday Matchup to Le Moyne
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell to Le Moyne, 3-0, in Northeast Conference action on Saturday at Detrick Gymnasium. Lauren Milani posted her second double-double of the weekend and Madison Massaro-Cook had a season-high 26 assists.
The Blue Devils host Stonehill on Friday and Saturday next weekend.

KEY MOMENTS
- Kaylin Hadley scored the opening point of the match and CCSU would lead 3-2 after a kill by Olivia Keckler but Le Moyne would score three straight points to take a 12-5 lead and force a CCSU timeout. The Blue Devils would get four straight points on services from Larissa Hiemer and got within 13-10 after a kill by Milani, but the Dolphins responded with three straight points of their own and would go on to win opening set.
- Le Moyne led the second set wire-to-wire. CCSU would be trail 4-3 before Le Moyne rattled off three straight points and did not allow its lead to shrink below four points the rest of the set. CCSU hit .350 in the frame but were unable to slow down the Dolphins.
- In the third frame, a kill by Weronika Poczynek sparked a run of three straight points for the Blue Devils and an ace by Annabelle Denomme made it 5-5. The Blue Devils would hold a 7-6 lead before Le Moyne scored five straight points. Back-to-back kills by Poczynek would get CCSU within, 20-18 and force a Dolphins timeout. After the margin went back to 24-19, CCSU would ward off four straight match points to get within 24-23 after a kill by Milani before Le Moyne managed to end the match.
