Lommori Earns All-Northeast Conference Recognition
Lommori becomes the third four-time All-NEC honoree at CCSU.
Senior Makenna Lommori of the Central Connecticut volleyball team earned Second Team All-Northeast Conference honors it was announced on Friday night at the annual awards banquet held on the eve of the NEC Tournament being hosted by LIU Brooklyn. Lommori earned all-conference recognition for the fourth time in her career.
Lommori is just the third Blue Devil to earn All-Northeast Conference honors four times. She joins Jennifer Cote (2001-2004) and Jamie Baumert (2006-2009) as the only other four-time All-NEC honorees in program history.

In all matches, Lommori ranked fourth in the NEC with 7.44 assists per set. In conference play, Lommori was third in the league with 3.46 kills per game. She finished the season with four triple-doubles, including each of the final two matches, to rank seventh nationally. She led the Blue Devils with 714 assists and was second in kills (217), digs (268) and aces (19). Lommori added 65 blocks.
Lommori capped her outstanding career by ranking fourth all-time at Central Connecticut with 3,290 assists and 10th with 940 digs.
Central closed the 2015 season with an 11-16 record overall, which included winning the Blue Devil Classic to open the season.
