
Women's Track Competes at UConn Northeast Challenge
The Central Connecticut women's track and field took home 14th out of 19 tallying 12.5 points at the UConn Northeast Challenge meet in Storrs, CT. On Friday, Brooke Morabito also represented the Blue Devils at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, NJ.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
- Payton Lowe placed 14th and notched a personal best in the Discus with a 37.37m throw.
- Brooke Morabito placed eighth (16:29.27) in a field of 21 athletes in the 5000m at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
- At UConn Rebecca Carusone ran a 17:55.05 and smashed a collegiate best in the 5000m with a second-place finish for her team.
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
- Alissa Hurd placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.60m leap.
- Wenesha Stewart and Marina Perry placed just outside the top ten in the shot put. Stewart placed 11th with a 12.55m throw and Perry notched a season-best 12.52m to place 13th.
The Blue Devils will compete next week at Holy Cross on Saturday, April 20th.
