Goldman Earns Fourth-Straight Diver of the Week Honor
Sophomore Jessica Goldman has swept the conference awards so far this season.
Central Connecticut diver Jessica Goldman earned her fourth-straight NEC Diver of the Week honor for her record-breaking 1-meter performance this weekend, the league announced Wednesday.
Once again, Goldman was the highest-scoring Blue Devil diver from both boards in a tri-meet with Bryant and New Hampshire. She placed first in the 1-meter and broke the CCSU record in the event with her score of 256.25, breaking Juliana Diplacido's 2005 score of 253.90 and topping the field by nearly 30 points.
The sophomore broke both the 1-meter and 3-meter CCSU freshman diving records last season and now owns the overall 1-meter record.
On Saturday, Goldman also finished third in the 3-meter event with her score of 215.85.
The Blue Devils return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 16 when they host Vermont and Merrimack in a tri meet at the Jack Suydam Natatorium in New Britain, CT.
