Freshman defender Marissa Quesnel scored her first collegiate goal in the win.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Wagner (4-12-0, 1-6-0 NEC) on Friday, improving its overall record to 3-11-1 (2-5-0 NEC). Freshman defender Marissa Quesnel scored her first collegiate goal in the win.

The second half started out strong again for the Blue Devils as, just over five minutes into the period, sophomore Kerriann Welch fired two back-to-back shots. The second, a blast from 20 yards out, landed on target notching Welch's third goal of the season. Welch currently leads Central with three goals, two assists and eight points. The Blue Devils posted six more shots in the half compared to Wagner's 12 but game away victorious after 90 minutes of play.
Central goalkeeper Nikola Deiter recorded five saves in the win compared to seven by Capelli and the Seahawks also posted seven corner kicks compared to three for CCSU.
