Lacrosse Drops NEC Opener At Arute Field

Tobler makes career-best five saves

The Central Connecticut State lacrosse team opened Northeast Conference play with a 22-2 loss to visiting Saint Francis U on Saturday afternoon at Arute Field. The Blue Devils fall to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in league play, while the Red Flash improve to 2-5 on the season and 1-0 in NEC action.

The game concluded a three-game homestand for the Blue Devils, who are next in action at Vermont on Tuesday, March 18^th. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.

KEY MOMENTS

The Blue Devils scored first, with a free position goal from Abbey Cannon 3:16 into the contest
The Red Flash answered 30 seconds later and scored the next 12 goals
Cannon fed Mikayala Winegar at the midway point of the second quarter for the Blue Devils second tally
The Red Flash scored twice in the final 5:18 of the half to take a 14-2 lead into the break
