Vinales, Drakeford and Mobley Earn NEC Honors
Blue Devils play at Wagner on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
Juniors Kyle Vinales and Faronte Drakeford were named to the All-Northeast Conference Third Team and freshman Matt Mobley was named to the All-Rookie Team in a release from the NEC on Tuesday. Vinales is an All-Conference selection for the second time.

The Blue Devils are the #7 seed and will play on Wednesday night at #2 Wagner at 7 p.m. The Blue Devils and Seahawks are meeting for the third straight season on Staten Island.
Vinales is an All-Conference pick for the second straight season. He was a First Team selection a year ago, but missed much of the NEC season this year with an injury. Vinales played in seven NEC games and shot an impressive 54.3 percent (25-of-46) from three-point land over that span. He averaged 16.6 points per game and had 31 assists in those seven games. For the season he led the Blue Devils at 17.1 points per game and also had 75 assists.
Drakeford had an impressive first season with the Blue Devils, finishing second on the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game, including 14.6 in NEC action. He started and played in all 29 games this season, shooting 49 percent (167-of-341) from the field and also grabbing 5.3 rebounds per game. Both Drakeford and Vinales have 29 steals on the season.
Mobley is a two-time NEC Rookie of the Week and had a successful first season in New Britain. He averaged 6.9 per game but 9.8 per game in conference action. Mobley started 20 of 29 games played and all 16 games in NEC play. He made 26 threes and shot 92 percent from thr free-throw line. He had 37 assists and 19 steals.
