CCSU Competes In First Round Action at Hartford Invitational
The Central Connecticut State University women's golf team competed in the first day of competition at the Hartford Invitational on Monday. The Blue Devils are currently in 10th place out of 11 teams after first round action at the Rockledge Golf Course in West Hartford, CT.

Freshman Stephanie Bednar led the Blue Devils through the first 18 holes, carding in at 84 on the par 72 course and is currently tied for 24th place. Senior Natalie Jones and freshman Anna Ausanio finished within one stroke of each other to tie for 36th and 40th, respectively, in the first round. Jones shot 86 (42-44) on the day, while Ausanio carded an 87 (47-40).
Junior Chelsea Woods and sophomore Jennie Dyson rounded out the Blue Devil top five golfers on Monday. Woods is tied for 51st after shooting 89 (48-41) and Dyson is in 60th with a score of 95 (48-47) after first round action.
Rutgers University is leading the team standings after shooting 310 for the first 18 holes. The Scarlet Knights' Brittany Weddell leads all individuals with a first round score of 74 (36-38). St. John's and Hampton are currently in second and third place, respectively.
Central Connecticut and the rest of the teams will finish competition at the Hartford Invitational on Tuesday.
