Blue Devils Host CCSU Fall Invitational
Junior Chelsea Woods and freshman Stephanie Bednar tied for 22nd place, as the Central Connecticut State University women's golf team took sixth out of seven teams at the CCSU Fall Invitational. Woods carded an 89 in round one and scored an 87 during the second round for her total of 176. Bednar shot 88 in both rounds this weekend to score 176 for the Blue Devils. Central finished with a total score of 719.

Hartford won the tournament, scoring 645 on the par 72 Stanley Municipal Golf Course. The Hawks' Sarah Sideranko was the individual medalist, winning a one-hole playoff to secure the victory. She tied with teammate Emily Linn with scores of 160 during regulation play this weekend.
Freshman Katie Reid, as well as seniors Natalie Jones and Lisa McCormick rounded out the golfers for CCSU this weekend. Reid placed 25th in the tournament with a score of 181 (92-89). Jones was 30th, carding 186 (92-94), while McCormick took 38th with a total of 214 (119-95).
The tournament was the last fall action for Central, as they will continue their season in 2010.
