Central Sweeps NEC Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team swept the Northeast Conference's weekly swimming and diving awards for the fourth time this season. Sophomore Taylor Friedmann earned her fourth swimmer of the week award and junior Madison Vestergaard earned her fifth consecutive diver of the week award. The Blue Devils competed at the Frank Elm Invitational this weekend, the three day event was hosted by Rutgers and featured 15 teams.

Sophomore Taylor Friedmann earned her fourth swimmer of the week award and junior Madison Vestergaard earned her fifth consecutive diver of the week award. The Blue Devils competed at the Frank Elm Invitational this weekend, the three day event was hosted by Rutgers and featured 15 teams.
The highlight of Friedmann's meet was the 200 free in which she set a meet record by finishing first in a time of 1:51.47. She also recorded second place finishes in the 500 free (4:54.42), 800 free relay (7:39.98), and 400 free relay(3:30.33). Her time of 53.26 earned her a seventh place finish in the 100 free, and her 200 butterfly time of 2:10.56 earned her a 15th place finish.
Vestergaard captures her fifth straight award after finishing 25th in the one-meter board and 20th on the three-meter board. She posted a one-meter score of 163.70 and a 161.40 score on the three-meter. Both of Vestergaard's marks were the top for Blue Devil divers this week.
In all the Blue Devils scored 733 points to earn a sixth place finish at the Frank Elm Invitational.
