Swimming and Diving Falls to New Hampshire 190-110
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team lost to New Hampshire 190-110 on Saturday afternoon at Jack Suydam Natatorium. The Blue Devils were led by sophomore Taylor Friedmann who broke the pool record in the 200 free and also was part of the team that broke the pool record for the 800 free relay.

Friedmann won the 200 free in 1:52.6 breakin the pool record at Jack Suydam Natatorium. The other pool record fell in the final event of the meet in the 800 free relay. The Central team of Friedmann, junior Alex Czaplicki, sophomore Lauren Shortell and sophomore Katie Lang finished in 7:47.62 breaking the pool recorded and finishing 11 seconds ahead of the next team.
Caplicki also earned an individual victory at the meet taking the 100 backstroke in a time of 59.35. Friedmann picked up her second individual win of the meet in the 500 free touching the wall first in 5:04.90, six seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
On the diving boards junior Madison Vestergaard led the Blue Devils with a second place finish in the one-meter and third place finish in the three-meter events. Vestergaard scored 223.49 in the one-meter and 212.54 in the three-meter, both scores led Central's divers.
The Blue Devil swimmers and divers will return to action next Saturday when they host Sacred Heart at Jack Suydam Natatorium.
