CCSU Falls to Boston University, 157-77, In Dual Meet Competition
Senior Kandra Kane, sophomore Kristen Malski and freshman Taylor Friedmann each won an event, but Central Connecticut State University was upended by Boston University by a score of 157-77 on Saturday afternoon. Kane took first in the 500 freestyle, touching in at 5:09.58. Malski earned gold medalist honors in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:09.73, while Friedmann won the 1,000 free, recording a time of 10:24.58.

Kane also placed second in the 200 free, touching in at 1:57.06, while junior Shauna Lynch recorded the only other silver medalist performance for CCSU on the day. Lynch took second in the 100 breast, finishing in 1:11.78. It was senior Kristen Rossi leading the diving unit again this week. She placed fourth in both the one and three-meter events. The Southington, CT native recorded scores of 191.55 and 190.60 in the two events, respectively.
CCSU is now 2-4 in dual meet action and will take a break from it when they head back to Boston University for the Terrier Invitational on November 20, 21 and 22. The divers will compete on the same days, but at the Harvard Diving Invitational.
