Men's Soccer Wins on Senior Day Over Stonehill, 3-2
Ethan Agyare-Danso had a pair of goals for Central in the win.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team capped the season with a 3-2 win over Stonehill in Northeast Conference action on Thursday in New Britain, CT. Ethan Agyare-Danso recorded a brace in the win to power the Blue Devils' offense, while Michel Pinoncely made a season-high eight saves to backstop the defense.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Skyhawks opened the scoring less than a minute into the contest when Shane Fonseca pounced on a loose ball in front of the net and knocked it home to make it 1-0.
- Central would level the game just three minutes later when Joey Tata played a ball ahead into the path of Agyare-Danso who squeezed his shot inside the right post to make it 1-1.
- CCSU went ahead in the 63rd minute when Agyare-Danso sprung a Blue Devils counter-attack from their own end with a long pass ahead. Joey Tata would pick up a loose ball from in front of the net and laid it off for Agyare-Danso who rifled home his second goal of the day to make it 2-1.
- Stonehill found an equalizer just over a minute later when Tiago Lima-Bittencourt had his shot saved, but the ball fell to Jared Rapoza who tapped it in to make it 2-2.
- Zane Brown would collect the game-winner with under eight minutes to play when Trevor Rau laid the ball off for him just inside the 18-yard box and he would tuck it inside the left post.
- The Blue Devils would make a pair of stops in the waning minutes to protect the lead. With just over five minutes to play James Forrest-Hay would have a shot on the doorstep blocked by a CCSU defender. With 90 seconds remaining, the Skyhawks had a shot from the left wing that was chipped just wide of the far post.

NOTES
- CCSU's senior class of Zane Brown, Julian Layne, Michel Pinoncely, Giulio Potenti, Justin Rivas and Austin Rocke were recognized prior to the contest.
- Agyare-Danso had six shots. He finished the season with team-highs in points (9), goals (3) and assists (3).
- Pinoncely turned away a career-high eight shots.
- Tata, Catanzaro and Rau each had their first assists of the season.
- Layne made two saves in his first career start at CCSU.
- CCSU is 1-0-2 in the all-time series.
