
Tata's Goal Earns Men's Soccer a Draw Against URI
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team battled back to earn a 1-1 draw against Rhode Island on Saturday night in New Britain. Joey Tata would score with just over 15 minutes to play to help the Blue Devils earn a well-deserved result.
The Blue Devils play at NJIT on Wednesday.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils outshot the Rams, 10-8, in the opening half and Mick Sipples made four stops to keep the game scoreless.
- CCSU forced Nate DiLoreto to make three saves in the opening half, including a shot by Ethan Agyare-Danso with just over five minutes left in the half.
- Arnau Rabassa Giullamon was dangerous and had three shots for the Blue Devils in the opening half, narrowly missing the net in the 42nd minute.
- URI opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, earning a penalty kick on a foul in the box. Brandon Bermingham would step up for the spot kick and sent the CCSU keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0.
- The Blue Devils' attack cashed in on its opportunities in the 74th minute. Ethan Agyare-Danso would shake free of a defender and sent a cross to the front of the net to Joey Tata, who placed his shot into the open frame to make it 1-1. Neither team would be able to find a winner in the final 15 minutes of play.
