
Men's Soccer Announces Additions to Staff
Kamil Kaminski and Christian Wright join the Blue Devils as assistant coaches.
Central Connecticut men's soccer head coach Dave Kelly has added Kamil Kaminski and Christian Wright to his staff for the 2024 season it was announced. The duo join Bryan Zobre on Kelly's staff as Central prepares for the upcoming season.
"It's great to welcome Kamil and Christian to the Central Connecticut program," said Kelly. "They possess a wealth of experience and have coached in Connecticut for many years. We look forward to getting the season started!"
Kaminski comes to Central with extensive experience as a player and a coach. He most recently served as an assistant at Quinnipiac in 2023 where coaching the goalkeepers was among his duties. Kaminski has coached for the FSA ECNL club in Farmington, CT, where he aided in the development of competitive U9 through U18 male and female goalkeepers. He also has coaching experience as the head coach and director of goalkeeping with the Ajax Pemier club in Bristol, CT, where he worked with the U9 through U23 squads. Kaminski played professionally in Europe for clubs such as Legia Warszawa, Elana Torun, Wisla Krakow and Gornik Leczna. As a youth player he was also invited to the United States' U20 National Team Camp under head coach Tab Ramos.
Wright has extensive experience as both a coach and former player. He comes to Central after coaching the Glastonbury High School girls' varsity team since 2022. Prior to that he was at Conard High School for a season with the boys' varsity program. Wright's career also includes a highly successful stint with the Farmington Boys Travel team where he led the club to two Connecticut State Cup championships, two US Youth Soccer Regional Cup championships and appearances in the Presidents Cup Nationals Final in 2017 and 2018. Wright's career also includes time at the Connecticut Soccer School from 2014-16, the University of Hartford from 2011 to 2013, and a season Trinity College. His coaching career began with Connecticut Wolves Juniors in 1993. A graduate of Syracuse University where he was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team, Wright played professionally with the Connecticut Wolves of the USISL and the Harrisburg Heat of the NPSL.
