Football Visits Robert Morris on Saturday
The Central Connecticut football team continues Northeast Conference play with a trip to Robert Morris on Saturday. The Blue Devils (2-4, 0-1 NEC) will square off with the Colonials (0-6, 0-1 NEC) at Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township, PA. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.

A side note for today's contest - while the Blue Devil team is looking for its first NEC victory - senior running back Rob Hollomon needs just 82 yards to become CCSU's all-time leading rusher.

Closing in on the Record • Last week senior running back Rob Hollomon passed James Mallory for second on CCSU's career rushing list. He enter's this week with all-time leader Stan House within reach. House finished a standout career at CCSU with 3,347 rushing yards. Hollomon enter's play Saturday with 3,266 rushing yards as a Blue Devil. He is just 81 yards shy of matching House and 82 yards from passing him. Last week he eclipsed James Mallory's total of 3,245 yards to move into the second spot on the career list.
Series History • This is the 21st meeting between these programs with Robert Morris holding a 15-5 advantage in the all-time series. The Colonials won in New Britain last season, which snapped an eight year run of victories by the home team in this series. CCSU's only win in Moon Township came in 2004, with the Blue Devils earning a 34-21 victory. The Blue Devils are just 1-8 all-time at Robert Morris. CCSU would go on to win a share of the Northeast Conference title in 2004.

SanGiacomo's 3,000 • Junior quarterback Nick SanGiacomo has already thrown for 1,237 yards this season and 3,700 in his career. With 77 passing yards today he will move past Bill Van Klock (3,776) for fourth place on CCSU's career list. Scott Dolch (2001-04) holds the all-time record of 5,728.
Limiting the Big Plays • The Blue Devil defense has limited opponents big plays this season after routinely being burned by them last year. The longest passing play the Blue Devils have allowed this season is just 39 yards. During the 2013 season, the CCSU defense allowed at least one passing play of 39 or more yards in eight of the 12 games and 12 total passing plays of 39+ yards.
