Volleyball Defeats Fairleigh Dickinson 3-2
The Central Connecticut volleyball team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils are now 9-16 on the season and 6-7 in Northeast Conference action. The Blue Devils were lead by a trio of player who recorded double digit kills in the match.

Central took the first set 25-21 behind junior Sara DeLacey who connected for five kills in six attacks. Sophomore Emily Cochran also had five kills and classmate Blaike King had four in the set.
The Blue Devils dominated the second set winning 25-12. Cochran was five of eight on the attack and the team posted four total blocks, senior Maite Mendizabal had a hand in three of Central's blocks.
After dropping sets three and four the Blue Devils rallied to dominate the fifth set 15-7. The Blue Devils used team defense to record another pair of blocks as five players recorded a kill in the fifth and deciding set.
Senior Amanda Bayer led the Blue Devils in assists with 45, Cochran had 17 kills and senior Kaitlin Petrella had 19 digs. DeLacey recorded 12 kills on 27 attacks for a .407 hitting percentage.
The Blue Devils will return to action on Wednesday night when they host NEC rival Sacred Heart at 7 p.m.
