Blue Devil Volleyball Drops St. Francis in Five Sets
The Central Connecticut volleyball team defeated the Red Flash of St. Francis (PA) in five sets on Sunday evening. The Blue Devils improve to 8-15 on the season and 5-6 in NEC action. The Blue Devils had four players post double digit kills in the match.

The Blue Devils dropped the first set 25-18 before rebounding with a 25-23 victory in the second set. The Blue Devils were led in the second set by sophomore Emily Cochran, sophomore Blaike King, sophomore Jamie Rademacher and junior Sara DeLacey who all registered a pair of kills.
The Red Flash rebounded taking the third set from the Blue Devils 25-20. Senior Amanda Bayer had 12 assists in the set, while King delivered 6 kills.
The Blue Devils forced a fifth set with a 25-18 victory in the fourth. Cochran and Delacey each registered four kills in the set, while Rademacher participated in 3 blocks.
The Blue Devils won the match with a 15-12 fifth set victory. Cochran had six kills for Central in the decisive set.
Cochran had 17 kills in the match, King had 13, Delacey 11 and Rademacher 10 to lead the Blue Devil attack. Bayer had 43 assists and senior Kaitlin Petrella had 19 digs for the Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils return to action on Friday, against the Terriers of St. Francis (NY).
