Women's Golf in Eighth at NEC Championships
The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished day one of the Northeast Conference Championship in eighth place. The Blue Devils posted a team score of 345 strokes in the first round. They finished the day at 57-over-par as a team on the 6,065 yard par-72 course at the LPGA International Course in Dayton, FL. Sophomore Anna Ausanio led the Blue Devils with a first round 81.

Ausanio shot nine strokes over par in the first round to record her team-low score of 81. She sits in 14 place after the first 18 holes. A stroke behind her was sophomore Katie Reid who finished round one with an 82. Reid's 10-over-par performance earned her a share of 15 place.
Freshman Elisabeth Beloin and senior Chelsea Woods finished at 19-over-par on Thursday. Both shot 91 in the first round. They currently share 37th place with two golfers from St. Francis (PA).
The fifth Central golfer of the day was freshman Gina Grant who shot s 92 in the first round. She currently sits in a tie for 41st on the individual standings.
Fairleigh Dickinson is currently leading the NEC Championship with Sacred Heart seven strokes behind.
