Women's Basketball Heads North to Face Merrimack
The Blue Devils look to earn its first win against the Warriors.
The Blue Devils will head to North Andover over the weekend for a pair of games with the Merrimack Warriors. Central currently stands at 3-7 overall and 3-7 in NEC play. Merrimack has played only conference games so far and has a record of 2-6. CCSU is currently in seventh place in the NEC standings, while Merrimack is tied for eighth with LIU. The first game on Saturday will stream on exclusively ESPN+. Sunday's game will stream for free on NEC Front Row.

The Blue Devils split a pair of games with Bryant on Tuesday and Wednesday. Forever Toppin continued her offensive tear, scoring 14 points and knocking down 2 three pointers in the win. Ashley Forker averaged 14.0 points in the two games. Forker shot a stellar 11-18 from the floor (61.1%) and went 6-8 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Dejah Jenkins started in both games, scoring a career high 13 points and netting 3 three pointers in the loss.
Merrimack earned its first two wins on the season in a sweep over LIU. Mayson Kimball scored 20 points on a solid 9-13 from the floor in the first game. Kate Mager and Alyssa Casey also scored in double figures. Mager backed up her performance by scoring 26 points in the second game. Diamond Christian added 16 points as well

Forever Toppin has picked up her game offensively, averaging a career high 9.9 points per game. She has scored 15 or more points three times this season.
